OPENSUSE 11 is scheduled to be released on June 19th 2008.
In support of the OPENSUSE community LUGIN will be holding a hackfest/release party on the 21st.

Here we will be installing and upgrading our systems to the new version! Please register on the calendar if you plan to attend.

Brainshare 2008

Well Novell Brainshare 2008 begins on March 16th...and I will be attending this year :)

Although this is mostly a Novell event they have a good grasp of what's going on with Linux and Opensource. So I'll be sure to gather as much information as I can about what's going on with Novell, SUSE, and OpenSuse while I am there.

If anyone has any requests...let me know and I'll see what I can do.. Hopefully I'll be able to post updates while I am there.

We are going to start fresh with the new site.
If you have any suggestions let me know or submit in the forums.

There will be a better logo eventually. I just put something up quickly.

Moving Forward

Moving forward with using the Xoops site. I've got just about everything to work.

Still need to work on the logo, but the xoops logo works for now...until it resolves with the www.lugin.org domain...I'm not too concerned.

I am going to pose a question to the members out there...do we want to put up banners? There is an example up there right now, but we can put up banners of those who help us out...or in the future for sponsors?.....

LUGIN Site

Well, here it is. Running the web site on XOOPS instead of Joomla.
The overall experience has been an ordeal. But mostly due to the fact that I am familiar with Joomla. After getting everything to work correctly...everything seems to be easy to manage and use. So we will continue to work forward from here and see how everyone likes it.
